Workflow Triggers
Every way a workflow can start - manual runs, schedules, entity events, webhooks, and task completions.
A trigger defines what starts a run of your workflow. Configure triggers from the builder's Triggers tab.
Triggers need an active, published workflow
Automatic triggers only fire when the workflow is both published (so a runnable version exists) and toggled Active. Manual runs work on any published version regardless of the Active toggle.
Trigger types
No configuration needed. Start a run at any time with the Run button in the builder toolbar. Use this while testing, or wire it to the Run Workflow node of another workflow to chain automations.
The implicit Workflow trigger
You won't create this one by hand: when a workflow contains a Run Workflow node, the platform automatically wires up a Workflow trigger so the target workflow can be invoked by it. Publishing the parent workflow makes the child runnable through that edge.
